Kaurich Chiropractic & Wellness Center was named a top three finalist for Best Chiropractic Clinic in the 2026 South Bend Community’s Choice Awards, published by the South Bend Tribune in October 2026. That honor adds to a long list of reader recognition, including Readers’ Choice awards in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, plus community honors in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025. Every one of those started with a nomination or a vote from someone in our community, and we don’t take a single one for granted.
What the 2026 Community’s Choice Recognition Means to Us
Being a finalist in the Community’s Choice Awards isn’t something you can buy or apply for. It comes from local readers who took a few minutes out of their day to nominate and vote for the places they trust.
For a chiropractic office, that matters a lot. People don’t vote for a chiropractor because of a clever ad. They vote because their back pain eased up, their headaches stopped running their week, or they finally got back to playing with their grandkids. When we see our name on that list, we see the patients behind it.
So before anything else, thank you. Whether you voted, left us a review, or simply told a friend about us, you’re the reason this recognition exists.
A Look Back at Our Award History
Dr. Kevin Kaurich opened the practice in 1995, and South Bend has been kind to us ever since. Here’s a quick look at how readers have recognized the practice over the years.
South Bend Tribune Readers’ Choice: 2016 Through 2019
Our first run of Readers’ Choice awards came four years in a row, from 2016 through 2019. Those years meant a lot to our whole team. They showed us that the care we were giving inside our walls on Cleveland Road was being talked about outside of them, too.
Reader Honors in 2021 and 2022
After a challenging stretch for every healthcare office in the country, patients kept showing up for us. We were honored by South Bend readers again in both 2021 and 2022, which felt especially meaningful during a time when so many families were dealing with stress, disrupted routines, and new aches from working at kitchen tables.
Community’s Choice Awards: 2023 and 2025
When the South Bend Community’s Choice Awards came along, our community kept the streak of support going with recognition in 2023 and again in 2025.
2026: Top Three Finalist for Best Chiropractic Clinic
And in October 2026, we were named one of the top three finalists for Best Chiropractic Clinic. Being in that group alongside other dedicated local providers is an honor, and it pushes us to keep earning that trust every single visit.
Recognition From Within the Profession
Community awards come from patients. But Dr. Kaurich has also been recognized by his peers.
In 2013, he was named “Chiropractor of the Year” by The Masters Circle, a national chiropractic organization. He’s also a member of the Indiana State Chiropractic Association, which keeps him connected to other chiropractors across the state and to changes in how care is practiced here in Indiana.
We mention these not to brag, but because many people choosing a chiropractor for the first time want to know who they’re trusting with their spine. You can read more about his background on Dr. Kevin Kaurich’s bio page.
What Patients Tend to Tell Us They Value
We’ve had a lot of conversations with patients over the years about why they keep coming back and why they send their families to us. A few themes come up again and again.
Care That Fits the Person
Not everybody wants or needs the same adjustment. A college athlete and an 80-year-old with arthritis are going to need very different approaches. That’s why our chiropractic care includes five distinct techniques, from hands-on Diversified adjustments to the gentle, instrument-assisted Activator Method.
If you’ve ever been nervous about the “cracking” part of chiropractic, there are low-force options. Just ask.
More Options Under One Roof
Patients appreciate not having to bounce between offices. Along with adjustments, we offer chiropractic rehabilitation to rebuild strength after an injury, HealthWave RX shockwave therapy for stubborn tendon and joint pain, and neuropathy treatment for people living with numbness, tingling, or burning in their hands and feet.
If you’re not sure whether those nerve symptoms are worth getting checked, our page on neuropathy symptoms is a good place to start.
Help for Federal Employees
We’re the only approved Federal Injury Centers location in Indiana. For postal workers, VA staff, TSA officers, and other federal employees, that means help with both the care and the paperwork that comes with a work injury. You can learn more about our federal injury therapy and how the process works.
Being Treated Like Family
This one might be the biggest. Dr. Kaurich found chiropractic as a high school football player recovering from an injury, and that experience shaped how he treats people. He listens. He explains what’s going on. And he doesn’t rush you out the door.
We see babies, kids, parents, and grandparents, sometimes all from the same family. That kind of trust is built slowly, and it’s something we work hard to protect.
Do Awards Matter When Choosing a Chiropractor?
Honestly? They’re one piece of the puzzle, not the whole picture.
An award tells you that a lot of local people had a good experience. That’s useful. But the right chiropractor for you also depends on your condition, your comfort level, your insurance, and how well you click with the doctor.
Here are a few things we’d suggest looking at no matter where you go:
- Reviews from real patients. Look for comments about your specific issue, whether that’s back pain, headaches, or recovery after a car accident.
- A thorough first visit. A good chiropractor should take a history and examine you before adjusting anything.
- Honest expectations. Be cautious of anyone who promises a cure or a fixed number of visits before they’ve even examined you.
- A willingness to work with your doctor. Chiropractic care works best as part of your overall healthcare, not as a replacement for it.
If you have more questions, our post on common chiropractic care questions covers a lot of what new patients ask us.
Thank You, Michiana
More than 30 years and over 200,000 adjustments later, we’re still just as grateful for every patient who walks through our door in South Bend. Awards are a nice moment to pause and reflect, but the real reward is seeing people get back to the things they love.
To everyone in South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, and across Michiana who has trusted us with your care: thank you. We’ll keep working to deserve it.
